Dubai hotel questions, answered
- When is the best value time to visit Dubai?
- May and September give you 5-star hotels at 3-star prices: hot, but manageable with pools and AC. For perfect beach weather at moderate prices, aim for November or March, just outside the December–February peak.
- Which area of Dubai should I stay in?
- Downtown for sightseeing and the Burj Khalifa; the Marina/JBR for beach-plus-nightlife; the Palm for a stay-put resort break. The metro connects Downtown and the Marina cheaply; taxis fill the gaps.
- Are Dubai hotel prices per room or per person?
- Per room, like most of the world. Watch for the 'Tourism Dirham' fee (AED 7–20 per room per night, by hotel class) collected at check-in; Snag Rooms lists it on the rate when it applies.
